Mouthguards

Now that the school year is in full swing, please remember that if you are participating in a sport it is very important to wear a mouthguard to prevent mouth and jaw injuries.  If you are currently a patient and have braces give us a call and we will make you a mouthguard or give you one to make yourself at home.  When you get your braces off, Dr. Hutta will make you a custom mouthguard to protect your new smile.

Mouth Guards

April is National Facial Protection Month.  As families are getting ready for Spring sports, Dr. Hutta would like to remind parents that injuries to the face and mouth can be prevented with the use of a mouth guard.  Mouth guards should be worn while participating in any sport of activity where the mouth might come into contact with a hard object or the ground.   Mouth guards can help prevent injuries to the jaws, mouth, teeth, and possibly even the neck and central nervous system.  This is why Dr. Hutta provides mouth guards for his patients at no cost.
